SAOR: print for Gaza
I originally designed this poster two years ago, never imagining what horrors were to come for the people of Gaza a few months later.
The design draws inspiration from hand painted Palestinian tiles, along with their vibrant culinary heritage, reflecting the beauty and resilience of Palestinian culture.
100% of the profits from this poster will go directly to the families in Cairo who have fled Gaza. The funds will help cover essentials like medical care (including surgery and medications), daily necessities, school supplies, rental costs and more.
Your donation will be brought to Cairo by Niamh Ní Mhurchú who frequently visits Egypt to bring donations. Niamh works as part of a number of mutual aid groups supporting Palestinians both in Cairo and in Gaza.
The Irish word 'Saor' means 'Free'-a powerful reminder that one day Palestine will break free from the shackles of occupation. The use of Gaeilge represents Ireland's solidarity with Palestine, and reflects on the many similarities between their shared struggle for freedom.
